Liquor Store Scenes was an passion project years in the making from Zippy Burman and Alix Luntz and finally brought to life as COVID restrictions eased during the winter of 2022. The pair spent countless weekends driving around the San Fernando Valley documenting the signs that defined the landscape of Zippy’s childhood. The zine covers the rich history of Neon Art signs that define the visual landscape of the San Fernando Valley with the intention to preserve and celebrate a fading art form.
